Museum Pass Program

Please read the following guidelines and choose "I ACCEPT" at the bottom of
the page, then make a reservation from the list of available passes and dates.

Borrowing Rules:

Commack Public Library adult cardholders, 18 years of age and over, and in good standing, may borrow a museum pass.

  • Museum passes may be reserved up to 60 days in advance.

  • Passes are limited to one pass per family, at one time.

  • Passes to the same venue may not be reserved for successive (back-to-back) loan periods.

Pass Types:

The library has two types of museum passes available to borrow; pick-up and return passes and print-on-demand.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR PRINT-ON-DEMAND PASSES:

How long can I borrow a pass for?

Reserve the pass for the day you want to visit the museum. The POD passes have a one-day loan period and are valid only for the date of your reservation.

How many people does each admit?

Each museum sets its own limits which are listed on the reservation page under "Learn More." Borrowers should call the museum directly for information concerning parking, hours of operation and directions. Each museum reserves the right to determine all rules governing the use of their pass.

How will I receive the print-on-demand pass?

A link to print the pass will be included in the confirmation email. Call the library at (631) 499-0888 to confirm we have your correct email address on file before reserving a pass.

I do not have access to a printer. Where can I print out the pass?

Print-on-Demand passes must be printed out. You can print out your pass at the library. The librarians at the Reference Desk can help you print out the pass.

Can I show the pass on my phone at the museum?

The library cannot guarantee electronic forms of the pass will be accepted. A copy of the pass on a phone may not be honored by the admissions staff. Please call the museum before your visit to ask if they will allow you to enter by showing the pass on your phone. We strongly recommend you print out the pass.

Do I need to bring my library or photo id to the museum?

Bring a valid photo ID and your Commack Public Library card with you to the museum. The name on the ID/library card must match the name on the reservation and printed pass.

Where do I return my Museum Pass?

Print-on-Demand passes do not need to be returned.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Call the Library at (631) 499-0888 and speak to a reference librarian.

As a courtesy, please cancel any reservation you will not be using as soon as possible so the pass can be made available to other patrons.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS FOR PICK-UP AND RETURN PASSES:

How long can I borrow the pass for?

Pick-up and Return passes may be borrowed for three days from the date it is reserved for. We suggest you reserve the pass for the day before you plan to visit the museum. Passes cannot be checkout earlier than your reserved date. The return date will be noted on your email confirmation.

How many people does each admit?

Each museum sets its own limits which are listed on the reservation page under "Learn More". Borrowers should call the museum directly for information concerning parking, hours of operation and directions. Each museum reserves the right to determine all rules governing the use of their pass.

Do I need to bring my library or photo id to the museum?

Bring a valid photo ID and your Commack Public Library card with you to the museum as some venues ask to see both photo ID and/or your library card and the museum pass.

Where do I pick up the Pass?

At the Reference Desk.

Where do I return my Museum Pass?

Pick-up and return passes must be returned to the Commack Public Library. You may return the pass at the Reference Desk or in the drive-up book drop. If the Library is closed due to a holiday, please return the pass in book drop as the pass may be reserved for another patron for the following day.

What if I return the pass late?

A $3.00 fee will be charged to your library card if the pass is returned late. If a pass is lost, the borrower will be charged any fee incurred by its replacement.

How do I cancel my reservation?

Call the Library at (631) 499-0888 and speak to a reference librarian.

By clicking "I Accept," I agree to abide by the guidelines governing access to museum passes. This will take you to the reservation program.
